Service Description

btob.dev provides an API, MCP server, and web interface to search and retrieve European business data. The service covers 8 million+ companies across 11 European countries, sourced from official public business registries. btob.dev is operated by Dorian.

Acceptance

By accessing or using btob.dev — including the website, REST API, or MCP server — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

API Usage

The btob.dev API is currently available without an API key. As a courtesy guideline, please limit requests to 60 requests per minute. We reserve the right to throttle or block excessive usage without notice. No uptime or availability guarantees are made at this time — the service is provided on a best-effort basis.

Acceptable Use

You may:

• Query btob.dev via the API or MCP server for legitimate business purposes
• Cache API results reasonably to reduce request volume
• Build integrations, agents, and applications on top of btob.dev data

You may not:

• Scrape the btob.dev website directly using automated crawlers
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass rate limits
• Resell or redistribute the raw btob.dev dataset as a competing business data product
• Use the service for harassment, illegal purposes, or to violate any law

Data Accuracy

Business data is sourced from official European public registries and is provided on a best-effort basis. btob.dev makes no warranty of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Data may be out of date or contain errors inherited from source registries. You should independently verify any critical business information before relying on it for decisions.

Intellectual Property

btob.dev owns all rights to the service, its software, the data aggregation methodology, and the presentation layer. Raw facts from public business registries (company names, registration numbers, addresses) are not copyrightable. The structured dataset, API design, and search infrastructure are proprietary to btob.dev.

Supplier Registration

Suppliers who self-register on btob.dev are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit. By submitting data, you confirm you have the right to do so. btob.dev may remove or correct inaccurate listings at its discretion.

Limitation of Liability

The btob.dev service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, btob.dev and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on data provided.

GDPR

Your privacy rights and how we handle personal data are described in our Privacy Policy. By using btob.dev, you acknowledge that data processing takes place in accordance with that policy.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the European Union, including applicable regulations such as the GDPR. Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with EU law.

Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via the btob.dev website before the new terms take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
